Trial Fonts End-User
License Agreement (EULA)
v0.0.1 / Updated: June 8th, 2026
Interpretation
License Agreement
The License Agreement column contains the binding terms of this Agreement.
Plain English
The Plain English column is a simplified explanation of the License Agreement. If the two ever say different things, the License Agreement is the one that counts.
Acceptance
License Agreement
By downloading these trial font files (“Trial Fonts”), you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not download or use the Trial Fonts.
Plain English
By clicking download, you're saying "yes" to these rules. It’s a formal agreement.
Permitted Use
License Agreement
You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Trial Fonts for evaluation and testing purposes only. This includes creating mockups, drafts, design explorations, and presenting the fonts to clients during pitches or project discussions. The Trial Fonts must not be shared with clients or third parties and may not be included in any final deliverables, published work, or commercially released project.
Plain English
You can play around with these fonts, test them in your layouts, or show them to your clients for feedback. That’s exactly what they are for. Please don’t share the font files with your clients or anyone else.
Restrictions (Commercial Use)
License Agreement
You must not use the Trial Fonts in any final, consumer-facing, or commercially released projects. Use of the fonts in any work delivered to a client for final publication requires a separate commercial license.
Plain English
Please don't use these in anything that gets published, sold, or sent out to the public. If it’s for a real job, you need the full license.
Social Media Exception
License Agreement
Notwithstanding the restrictions set out elsewhere in this Agreement, you may share work-in-progress (WIP) images, mockups, or design explorations featuring the Trial Fonts on social media platforms, provided that you clearly credit Standard Type Foundry in the post or caption. This exception does not permit commercial use, publication of final work, distribution of the Trial Fonts, or any other use prohibited by this Agreement.
Plain English
The one exception is social media. Feel free to share mockups, experiments, and work-in-progress designs featuring the fonts, as long as you credit Standard Type Foundry. This doesn't mean you can use the fonts in final work or commercial projects.
Restrictions (Distribution)
License Agreement
You agree that you will not sell, rent, share, sublicense, redistribute, or otherwise provide the Trial Fonts to any third party. You may not distribute the Trial Fonts to any person, entity, or organization outside your organization. You may not embed, host, upload, convert, package, or distribute the Trial Fonts in any website, application, software product, template, design system, plugin, PDF, or other digital product.
Plain English
These are just for you. Please don't send the files to anyone else, upload them anywhere, or package them inside websites, apps, PDFs, templates, or other products.
Restrictions (Modification)
License Agreement
You must not modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, alter, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the Trial Fonts or the designs embodied therein.
Plain English
Please don't try to open up the font code, change the name, or tinker with the file structure. It needs to stay exactly as it is.
Ownership
License Agreement
By entering into this Agreement, you acknowledge that Standard Type Foundry retains full ownership of the Trial Fonts and all associated intellectual property rights, including copyright. This Agreement grants you a limited, non-exclusive right to use the Trial Fonts solely as permitted under this Agreement and does not transfer any ownership rights to you.
Plain English
A lot of work went into these Trial Fonts. The fonts still belong entirely to Standard Type Foundry; you're just borrowing them for a test run.
Termination
License Agreement
The Trial Fonts are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. If you violate any terms of this Agreement, your license is automatically terminated, and you must immediately delete all copies of the Trial Fonts from your systems. Upon termination, any use of the Trial Fonts in commercial work must cease immediately.
Plain English
If you break these rules, the deal is off. You’ll have to delete the files from your computer right away and stop using them for any commercial work.
